WAELZHOLZ RECEIVES INNOVATION AWARD FOR THE FIFTH TIME

TOP 100 honors Germany’s most innovative SMEs

In June 2019, Waelzholz was awarded the TOP 100 seal for the fifth time for being one of the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. The focus of the competition – under the scientific direction of Professor Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business – is not on individual innovations, but on the innovation management of a company as a whole.

As a result, Waelzholz was once again able to win over the jury thanks to its impressive level of innovation with respect to its products and production lines as well as the continuous optimization of its processes. In this context, its tightly integrated network of national and international locations ensures that the company maintains consistently high standards and that information flows smoothly across the globe.

As part of its innovation management activities, Waelzholz identifies megatrends that are relevant to its industry and to the industries of its customers. Using this information, the technology leader then develops customized materials and unlocks new opportunities for its customers’ product development. One example of this is the cutting-edge field of e-mobility, which Waelzholz supports with innovative electrical steel strip grades.
