WAELZHOLZ EMPLOYEES PERFORM MUSIC FOR A GOOD CAUSE

Benefit concert for the “Tour der Hoffnung” (“Tour of Hope”)

Waelzholz organized a benefit concert for the first time this year to support the “Tour der Hoffnung” – a charity organization that collects donations for children with cancer as part of an annual bike tour through Germany. On April 10, 2019, more than 200 guests were treated to a wide-ranging musical program featuring highly motivated Waelzholz employees. In addition to three choirs from Hagen and the surrounding area, the violin soloist Franziska Winkelsträter from Waelzholz’s HR department and eight young drummers from the Iserlohn School of Music also performed during the musical evening in Hagen-Hohenlimburg, Germany. A total of 5,000 euros was collected in donations, and all of it will go directly to the “Tour der Hoffnung”.

Besides this concert event, Waelzholz has supported the remarkable project for sick children and young people for many years. For example, the company also held its 14th charity tennis tournament in April 2019, which generated the record sum of 19,000 euros in donations for the charitable organization.

The company known for its cold-rolled steel strip is also actively involved in this year’s bike tour – the last stage will begin at Waelzholz’s headquarters in Hagen on August 17th.
