They also serve as the base products to which further hardening and tempering and finishing processes are applied to produce high-performance products for applications with specific requirements. It is of utmost importance to produce DC-grade steels, low-alloyed steels, case-hardening steels, steels for hardening and tempering as well as spring steels in a controlled environment with precisely defined property parameters and with a perfect microstructure.
